The Planning Advisory Committee (CCU) is an organization mandated by the City Council to provide advice on applications it receives regarding town and regional planning and land use.

For the most part, the main issues considered by the CCU are applications for minor exemptions, plans for implementation and architectural integration, conditional use and special building, renovation and occupancy projects. The CCU may also be called upon by the City council for the analysis of certain topics relating to urban planning.

The CCU is made up of at least one member of the City council and citizens who have been appointed by the City council.

The CCU meets at least once a month to review its files. The CCU meetings are held behind closed doors, in the absence of anyone from outside the committee.

CCU sessions are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month. However, as a meeting requires a quorum of members to take place, the dates may change.
