WEB PLATFORM TO REGISTER YOUR DOG

Did you know that a canine license is required for each dog present on the City’s territory? This license allows you to find your pet if it gets lost.

Under municipal regulations, obtaining a medal at a cost of $35 per year is mandatory. Although the medal is permanent, the entitlement is renewable annually. The tag must be attached to your dog’s neck at all times.

Registration with Gestipattes is therefore MANDATORY. The purchase and renewal of the medal must be made via the Gestipattes platform. This software allows you to make online payment by credit card. Payment at the counter remains available following the registration of your dog online.

If you have already purchased the medal during a previous year, you must still renew it for the current year via the following link:

www.jeminscrismaintenant.com/shannon/

Citizens who already have a tag for their animal must keep it since it is valid for the entire life of the animal.

If you have any questions or if you need help with your registration, do not hesitate to contact the Finance Department by phone at 418 844-3778 or by email at clients@shannon.ca.

NON-RESIDENTS

Non-resident dog owners who wish to take advantage of the dog park must register on the Gestipattes platform in order to obtain a medal at a cost of $ 35 valid for the current year.

LOST, FOUND, CAPTURED

Found a stray dog? If he wears a valid City medal, we invite you to visit the S.O.S. LOST PETS internet platform. Enter the medallion number (10 digits below the QR code) found on the back of the medal.

For this service to be functional, the owner only needs to activate the QR code on the S.O.S. LOST PETS internet platform. Thus, thanks to the QR code, it is possible to communicate with the owner directly. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If the dog does not have a tag, it will be sent to the Quebec SPA located at 1130 avenue Galilée in Quebec.

To pick it up, you must call 418 527-9104.

Please note that the City of Shannon does not offer any service for lost or found cats. In such a case we invite citizens to contact the SPA directly.
