    • Peddling is strictly prohibited within the City, in accordance with Harmonized By-law on Public Safety and the Protection of Persons and Property (RHSPPPP) number 816-24.

    🏠 Whether for door-to-door sales or the unsolicited distribution of materials, these practices are not permitted.

    🔍 However, certain exceptions are permitted:

    ✅ Individuals who sell or peddle products or services as part of:

    • a fundraising campaign;
    • a recognized charity;
    • a sports, social, or cultural association;
    • or an educational institution, provided the activity takes place within Shannon and benefits an organization recognized by the City.

    ✅ Also permitted are:

    • Merchants or individuals who visit certain buildings regularly or by appointment;
    • when a specific or recurring need has been identified;
    • that residents have requested it.
