The following contains information regarding ongoing road work or upcoming road blocks within the City of Shannon territory.

BEGINING OF PAVING WORK ON GOSFORD AND DUBLIN ROADS

The City of Shannon is pleased to announce the imminent begining of paving and repair work on Dublin road (between the cycle path and Gosford road) and Gosford road (between William street and Boulevard Jacques-Cartier), which will begin Wednesday, October 7, 2020 and will continue for a period of four (4) weeks.

Work progress
• The first stage of spraying and paving of the roadway will affect the Gosford road sector, located between Boulevard Jacques-Cartier and Saint-Patrick street.
• The second stage of the work will continue up to 61, Gosford road to William street.
• Finally, the 3rd phase of operations will be carried out on Dublin road up to Gosford road as far as the Vélopiste Jacques-Cartier / Portneuf.

Daytime traffic will mainly be alternating and marked detours will be put in place for the duration of the work. We invite you to plan your trips during this period.

The work schedule could be changed in the event of adverse weather conditions or operational constraints.

For the safety of road users and workers, compliance with the signs in place is essential. We are aware of the inconveniences caused by this work and we thank the citizens for their collaboration.

ROAD WORK INTERSECTION OF VANIER AND ROCHON STREETS (MTQ)

From August to October, traffic will be in the southbound direction between Dubé and Saint-Patrick streets.

Congestion is possible in the area. Signalers will be present between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rochon street and Route de la Bravoure.

In addition to the construction of the left turn lanes, the works will allow the reconstruction of a pedestrian crossing.
