Who Are We?
As an active, non-profit organization with over 4000 members, VEQ has played a vital part in preserving and developing community life for the English-speaking community for over four decades. VEQ has active partnerships with over 60 community organizations, institutions, and groups in the area.
Furthermore, VEQ helps individuals in both French and English participate in community life in the Quebec City region – including in its northern perimeter in municipalities such as Shannon, Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier and Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. We welcome newcomers, sponsor community celebrations and research needs, inform citizens, and provide a framework for effective action on behalf of English-speaking people and institutions. We organize cultural and entertaining activities for youth, families, young adults and people 50+.
