Le jeudi 18 novembre dernier, les membres du St. Joseph Council, CWL Shannon, représentés par Kerry Ann King (Présidente), Deborah Kiley (Vice-Présidente), Sherril King (Membres), Dale Feeney (Culture) et Patsy Kiley (Trésorière), ont remis un chèque de 5 000 $ aux propriétaires de la Villa Le Shamrock, Mme Célyne Giroux Martel et M. Richard Martel, pour l’installation d’un nouveau monte-escalier.
Grâce au travail de financement de cet organisme, les résidents à mobilité réduite pourront désormais accéder aux chambres du deuxième étage, ce qui n’était pas possible auparavant. Cela permettra à nos aînés de rester dans la communauté lorsqu’ils auront besoin de plus d’aide que ce qui peut être fourni à la maison.
On Thursday, November 18, 2021, the members of the St. Joseph’s Council CWL Shannon, represented by Kerry Ann King (President), Deborah Kiley (Vice-President), Sherril King (Membership), Dale Feeney (Culture), and Patsy Kiley (Treasurer), presented a $5 000 cheque to the owners of the Villa Le Shamrock, Ms. Célyne Giroux Martel and Mr. Richard Martel, for the installation of a new stairlift.
Thanks to the fundraising work of this organization, mobility-challenged residents will now be able to access the second-floor rooms, something that was not possible before. This will allow our senior citizens to remain in the community when more assistance is needed than can be provided at home.
