Afin de donner suite à la récente annonce du gouvernement concernant les mesures de déconfinement en lien avec la COVID-19, la Ville de Shannon est heureuse d’annoncer la réouverture progressive de la bibliothèque municipale à compter du 14 juillet prochain.
Selon les mesures sanitaires prescrites par la Santé publique, certaines mesures ont été mises en place afin d’assurer la sécurité des employés et des usagers. Le service de prêt sans contact et sur rendez-vous demeure en fonction. Pour connaître tous les détails de ce service, nous invitons les usagers à consulter le www.shannon.ca.
Dans le respect des normes sanitaires en vigueur, la bibliothèque municipale ouvrira de nouveau ses portes au public selon les mesures suivantes :
• Respect des principes de distanciation physique;
• Des cloisons transparentes ont été installées au comptoir de service;
• Distributeurs de gel désinfectant;
• Marquage au sol;
• Distanciation des postes informatiques;
• Maintien de mesures d’hygiène avec le matériel, les équipements et les surfaces fréquemment touchés;
• Les enfants de moins de 14 ans devront être accompagnés d’un adulte;
• Le port du masque est fortement recommandé.
En raison des règles de distanciation, les mesures suivantes seront en vigueur :
• La capacité d’accueil a été établie à un maximum de 50 usagers à la fois à l’intérieur du bâtiment;
• La durée maximale de visite a été fixée à 30 minutes par personne ou groupe;
• Une seule cellule familiale par rayon à la fois, les enfants devront rester auprès des parents en tout temps;
• Limite du nombre de cellules familiales selon l’achalandage.
Tous les retours doivent se faire uniquement dans la chute à livres située à l’extérieur et non au comptoir intérieur. Les documents retournés seront mis en isolement pour une durée de 24 h en conformité avec les recommandations des autorités. Ce n’est qu’une fois ce délai terminé que les employés traiteront le retour des documents. Il faudra donc prévoir ce délai avant de pouvoir réemprunter de nouveaux documents.

Mardi : 13 h 30 à 19 h 30
Mercredi : 9 h 30 à 12 h et 13 h 30 à 16 h
Jeudi : 13 h 30 à 19 h 30
Vendredi : 9 h 30 à 12 h
Samedi : Fermé
Dimanche : Fermé
La Ville de Shannon souhaite remercier les citoyens pour leur collaboration en ce qui a trait au respect de l’ensemble des consignes sanitaires émises par la Santé publique visant à diminuer la propagation de la COVID-19.
Rappelons que les personnes présentant des symptômes tels que fièvre, toux ou difficulté respiratoire sont priées de ne pas se présenter et de reporter leur visite à plus tard.

PROGRESSIVE REOPENING OF THE LIBRARY
To follow up on the government’s recent announcement regarding deconfinement measures related to COVID-19, the City of Shannon is pleased to announce the gradual reopening of the municipal library starting July 14th.
According to the sanitary measures prescribed by Public Health, certain measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of employees and users.
Following the reopening of the library to the public, the contactless loan service will remain in operation. For all details concerning this service, we invite users to visit www.shannon.ca.
In compliance with the health standards in force, the municipal library will open its doors to the public according to the following measures:
• Respect for the principles of physical distancing;
• Transparent partitions have been installed at the service counter;
• Disinfectant gel dispensers;
• Floor markings;
• Distancing of computer stations;
• Maintaining hygienic measures with the material, equipment and frequently-touched surfaces;
• Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult;
• Wearing a mask is strongly recommended.
Due to the distancing rules, the following measures will be in effect:
• The capacity has been established for a maximum of 50 users at a time inside the building;
• The maximum visit duration has been set at 30 minutes per person or family unit;
• Only one family unit per area at a time and children must remain with their parents at all times;
• The number of family units allowed at any time may be limited depending on actual user traffic.
All returns are only to be made via the book chute located outside, not at the interior counter. The returned documents will be kept in isolation for 24 hours in accordance with the recommendations of the authorities. It is only after this period that employees will process the return of documents. It will therefore be necessary to foresee this delay before being able to borrow new documents.

Tuesday: 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday: 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: Closed
The City of Shannon would like to thank all citizens for their cooperation in respecting all health directives issued by Public Health aimed at reducing the spread of COVID-19.
Remember that people with symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing are asked to not enter the library, but to postpone their visit until later.
