La Ville de Shannon souhaite informer les résidents des logements familiaux de la Base Valcartier (Courcelette) que le Service des travaux publics procèdera au rinçage/nettoyage annuel du réseau d’aqueduc. Ces opérations sont prévues pour la période du 2 au 22 août 2022.
Cet avis de rinçage ne vise pas le réseau d’aqueduc de la Ville de Shannon.
Cette opération, qui permet de maintenir la qualité de l’eau et d’augmenter l’efficacité des installations de traitement, peut entrainer une légère baisse de pression et/ou une coloration de l’eau dans le secteur où s’effectue le rinçage.
Voici quelques conseils :
- Laissez couler l’eau froide du robinet
- Avant de faire un lavage, vérifiez la couleur de l’eau afin de ne pas tacher les vêtements.
Cette coloration de l’eau ne pose AUCUN RISQUE pour la santé puisqu’elle demeure potable à la consommation.
La Ville de Shannon respecte les normes les plus strictes en ce qui a trait à la qualité de l’eau.

TO ALL RESIDENTS OF FAMILY HOUSING FROM THE BASE VALCARTIER (COURCELETTE SECTOR)
The City of Shannon wishes to inform residents of family housing from the Base Valcartier (Courcelette sector) that the Public Works Department will proceed with the annual flushing/cleaning of the aqueduct network as part of its regular maintenance.
These operations are scheduled for the period from August 2 to 22, 2022.
This flushing notice does not apply to the City of Shannon’s aqueduct network.
This operation, which maintains the quality of the water and increases the efficiency of the treatment facilities, may lead to a slight drop in pressure and / or a coloration of the water in the sector where the rinsing is carried out.
Here are a few tips :
- Let the cold tap water run
- Before washing, check the color of the water so as not to stain the clothes.
This coloring of the water poses NO RISK to health since it remains drinkable for consumption.
The City of Shannon respects the most stringent standards with respect to water quality.
