C’est avec joie que la Ville a reçu du pôle Nord la confirmation que le Père Noël sera de retour à Shannon le dimanche 18 décembre prochain entre 13 h et 17 h.
Les citoyens de Shannon sont invités à venir vivre la frénésie de cet événement de Noël qui est de retour pour une 3e année. Les membres du Service de la sécurité publique de Shannon auront le privilège d’accompagner le Père Noël ainsi que la fée des étoiles à bord, non pas du traîneau du Père Noël… mais bien du camion incendie pour la plus grande joie des petits et grands !
Confortablement installé à bord du camion des pompiers, le Père Noël sillonnera les rues de Shannon à compter de 13 h et se dirigera tout d’abord vers le nord, en direction du chemin de Gosford. Il empruntera ainsi plusieurs rues de Shannon pour terminer son itinéraire au Parc municipal aux alentours de 15 h 15. Surveillez la sirène des pompiers qui annoncera que le Père Noël s’approche de votre secteur. Afin d’assurer la sécurité de tous, il sera important de se tenir à l’écart des véhicules en marche.
À la suite de sa tournée, le Père Noël, accompagné de la fée des étoiles, viendra à la rencontre des enfants aux alentours de 15 h 15 jusqu’à 17 h au Parc municipal situé au 73, chemin de Gosford. Les mascottes Elsa et Olaf du film La Reine des Neiges seront aussi de la fête entre 15 h et 17 h !
« La Ville est heureuse de pouvoir à nouveau faire vivre ce moment magique aux enfants et à leurs parents. Nous souhaitons remercier le Service de la sécurité publique d’accueillir et d’accompagner le Père Noël dans sa tournée. Nous profitons également de l’occasion, pour souhaiter de joyeuses fêtes à tous les citoyens », mentionne la mairesse Sarah Perreault.

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO SHANNON SUNDAY DECEMBER 18!
It is with joy that the City received confirmation from the North Pole that Santa Claus will be back in Shannon on Sunday, December 18, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The citizens of Shannon are invited to come and experience the frenzy of this Christmas event which is back for a 3rd year. Members of the Shannon Public Safety Department will have the privilege of accompanying Santa Claus and the Star Fairy, not in Santa’s sleigh… but in the fire truck, to the delight of young and old alike!
Comfortably seated aboard the fire truck, Santa Claus will criss-cross the streets of Shannon starting at 1 p.m. and will first head north, towards Gosford Road. He will thus take several streets in Shannon to finish his itinerary at the Municipal Park around 3:15 p.m. Watch for the firefighters’ siren which will announce that Santa Claus is approaching your sector. In order to ensure everyone’s safety, it will be important to stay away from moving vehicles.
Following his tour, Santa Claus, accompanied by the Star Fairy, will meet the children around 3:15 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Municipal park located at 73, Gosford Road. The Elsa and Olaf mascots from the movie Frozen will also be part of the event, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., bringing Santa’s magic to town.

We would like to thank the Public Safety Department for welcoming and accompanying Santa Claus on his tour. We also take this opportunity to wish happy holidays to all citizens,” said Mayoress Sarah Perreault.
