Juste à temps pour le long congé, la Ville souhaite informer les citoyens que l’accès à la descente pour mettre une embarcation à l’eau, via le chemin de Gosford, sera de nouveau ouvert à compter du vendredi 19 mai 2023 en fin de journée.
Cette réouverture fait suite au repavage du chemin, donnant accès au belvédère, qui sera effectué par le ministère des Transports ce vendredi en après-midi.
La barrière donnant accès à la descente de bateaux sera ensuite ouverte et aucun cadenas ne restreindra l’accès jusqu’au mardi 23 mai 2023.
Par la suite, la barrière donnant accès à la descente de bateaux sera uniquement accessible aux utilisateurs possédant une clef permettant d’ouvrir le cadenas, et ce, afin d’assurer la sécurité des lieux.
Les personnes souhaitant avoir accès au débarcadère doivent obligatoirement remplir un formulaire afin de se procurer une clef, moyennant un dépôt de 40 $, valide pour la saison estivale 2023, disponible à l’Hôtel de Ville de Shannon durant les heures d’ouverture.
À la fin de la saison, les frais de dépôt seront remboursés aux utilisateurs qui devront rapporter leur clef à l’Hôtel de Ville.
Rappelons qu’il est strictement interdit de stationner un véhicule à cet endroit, et ce, afin de faciliter l’accès pour tous.

REOPENING OF ACCESS TO THE BOAT DESCENT
Just in time for the long holiday, the City wishes to inform citizens that access to the descent to launch a boat, via Gosford Road, will be open again as of Friday, May 19 2023 at the end of the day.
This reopening follows the repaving of the road, giving access to the belvedere, which will be carried out by the Ministry of Transport this Friday afternoon.
The barrier giving access to the boat ramp will then be open and no padlock will restrict access until Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
Subsequently, the barrier giving access to the boat ramp will only be accessible to users with a key to open the padlock, in order to ensure the security of the premises.
People wishing to access the landing stage must complete a form to obtain a key, for a $40 deposit, valid for the 2023 summer season, available at City Hall during opening hours.
At the end of the season, the deposit fees will be refunded to users who must return their key to the City Hall.
Remember that it is strictly forbidden to park a vehicle at this location, in order to facilitate access for all.
