NEW CONSTRUCTION – BY-LAW 287

Please note that the cost of a building permit for a NEW HOME for those needing access to the aqueduct:

Permit                            100.$

Water counter                300.$

Access to property           25.$ (if necessary)

Water entry valve           2,600.$ (if applicable)

A building permit is compulsory for any project of construction, transformation, or addition of buildings.  PLEASE INQUIRE!

Should you wish to obtain a building permit, you must make an appointment with our building inspector.

Please remember that a building permit is not just a piece of cardboard that you display when you undertake a project.  Your permit is your guarantee that the work you are doing is in conformity with our by-laws.  It protects your investments as well as that of your neighbours.  A permit will often eliminate unnecessary errors and costs.
