GARBAGE PICK-UP
Please note that our last weekly pick-up will be on September 20th, and as noted on your calendar, we will resume our bi-weekly pickup as of October 4th until May 2011.
IF YOUR ADDRESS IS NOT VISIBLE, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SEND HELP!
In order to ensure your safety in case of a medical emergency, your address must be clearly visible during eh day as well as at night. If your entrance way is very long, make sure to post reflective numbers at the side of the street.
If you are in the process of constructing your home, we recommend you put up a temporary sign indicating your house number on it until you are finished. This will facilitate your deliveries and more important, could save someone’s life should an accident happen on the work site.
Residents who order garbage or recycling bins will not have them delivered unless there is a visible address on the house.
BRANCH PICK-UP
Wednesday, October 6th
Please note that the branch pick up is a municipal service only offered to citizens who want to rid their property of a few branches and/or shrubs.
It is not intended for those who want to clear their lot before they start building.
360 LITRE GARBAGE BINS
The Municipality has 360 litre bins available at a cost of 75.$ each (tax and delivery included). Please note that by the end of this year, they will be mandatory. Anyone wishing to order a garbage bin may forward a check in the amount of 75.$ to our municipal office and allow five days for delivery. You may also pay for your bin at the office by cash or debit.
GOLF SHIRTS
We have a limited quantity of golf shirts available for sale. They are short sleeved with the Shannon crest on them. They are available in red, black, beige and blue. They are 100% polyester and cost 30$ each.
CONSTRUCTION & LANDSCAPING
Please note that the exterior of any construction must be completed in 12 months and your landscaping in 24 months. If these delays are not respected, you could be fined (200.$ minimum up to 1000.$ for the first offence). Please be advised that our municipal inspector will soon be making his inspections.
